Curio Bay, New Zealand
Of all the places we stopped on our adventures in the south, Curio Bay was by far my favorite. The whole trip would have been worthwhile if this was the only place I got to visit.

Hello, Tumblr! I am officially back! For the next two months at least…
Last night, I moved house once again, and now have a pretty freaking rad set-up if I do say so myself! When I first arrived in Wanaka I found a job doing housekeeping and reception at a motel for the most lovely couple. Even though I have since then been working a different full time job, I have kept in contact with them and helped out occasionally.
Last month, when I suddenly had to move out of my amazing house, Pam totally pulled through for me, and I am now living rent-free for two months at the motel while they are closed for the slow season! How does that even happen?! I have a great little unit all to myself, right in town, and all I have to do is just keep an eye on the property.
So, happy May, everyone!

Sea Lion on Cannibal Bay, NZ.

This was the first of the sea lions to make it’s way onto the beach from the water in the morning. Over the next thirty minutes 14 others joined us.

While in the Catlins we spent a night on the beach of Cannibal Bay. This was the view from the van window. Not bad at all. The only thing better than the view was the following hour I spent hanging out with a family of sea lions.
